Livia’s Flexibility Journey
Livia has done gymnastics her whole life, and was a strong, well achieving gymnast but that doesnt mean she was super supple. Flexibility was always a her challenge being pushed and pulled and even made to cry by Russian coaches… but those methods never did anything but cause her body to protect itself not give in, thus no increase in flexibility.
Fast forward a large number of years and Livia turned her passion of dance and gymnastics into a career, qualified and certified as a pole fitness instructor and started a Pole Fitness business Vertigo Fitness
She then became a qualified and Certified “Acrobatic Arts” teacher which also added to her learning about the body and how it moves.
Having resparked her life long ambition to get super supple she found the “Alixa Flexibility” method and enrolled in the first ever Australian course. Going to this course hoping to learn something new but also thinking it was going to be like all the other flexibility courses going over the same various techniques.
“The first day of the course blew my mind the techniques used were incredible and relatively easy as far as stretching goes. I FELL IN LOVE, I RESONATE with this style of stretching so much and having so much focus on CORRECT ALLIGNMENT and SAFETY (which always my number 1 priority) and understanding how the stretches work on the FASCIA and ANATOMY TRAINS through my Bowen and massage training.
After two of the shoulder exercises, my bothersome ‘flicking feeling’ in the front of my right shoulder when i circled my arm had gone, it had been put back into place, and i thought it was just a part of my body I would have to live with forever as it had been there so long
My flexibility progress has been the best it has ever been, even though I am human, an adult and sometimes lazy or tired after working hard ;)”
